We believe that education plays an important role in reconstructing poverty stricken lands. We believe that there are two fundamental aspects of education:
Educating people in God’s word is vital in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Teaching the Word of God allows people to understand salvation. Once they have a true understanding of God's nature they will not be as susceptible to being taken advantage of, and they will be able to discern what is false doctrine from that which is true.
Basic education

Basic education is ideal in tackling poverty. Basic education gives people the tools to stop the effects of poverty before they happen and, in whole, remove the structure in which poverty stands.
For example, teaching someone basic hygiene (i.e. the importance in washing your hands before you eat) would create more sanitary living conditions. Showing people the benefits to brushing their teeth can save people from a lot of unwanted pain. Educating people on what to eat allows people the chance to boost immune systems that would prevent illnesses that would otherwise possibly kill the person. People in poverty, unfortunately, do not have health plans, let alone the resources to see a doctor for common sickness that can be easily prevented. Because of a lack in medical care and healthy immune systems, what would normally be a common cold for you and I, may lead to other more serious illnesses that could ultimately cost someone their life.
Teaching people to read and write is necessary to survive in this day and age.

The ability to be able to read would give a child the chance to decipher between a bottle of rat poison and a bottle of water. It would also give someone the opportunity to sit down and read a Bible. If we desire to spread the Word of God and commission others to do the same, we must give them the tools to do these things. Basic principles in reading and writing could tear down the walls that poverty and illiteracy creates.
These are just a couple of ways in which we can spread hope to people of all nations. These small but effective steps could give people in unequal societies, all over the world, a fighting chance at survival, and could lead towards the destruction of poverty once and for all.
